Hi, I'm a new member who recently "adopted" a Ball Python and I need a little help. Overall she "Zoey" is doing well. She was terribly mistreated, skinny, partial shed (skin hanging all over her), she's 4 feet long, and has eaten twice in the three weeks I've had her. I tried breeding my ball python, and since we separated them both she has been rubbing her head off of her belly and her head off her tank and her log, but she has never done this before.She has also been lying in an oval shape in the same corner with her head on her belly. She has been acting a little strange aswell. Could you tell me if it is possible that she is pregnant?

My teenage son moved in with me and begged and begged for ball pythons. He claimed he knew all about them and I would love them. I bought him 2 baby ones (they are about a foot long) and then later he got 2 large ones (one is 2 years old and one is 3 years old). The weaner rat didn't last long at all. Maybe 5mins!!

She has never missed a feed and strikes every time too!! She is just a year old and will be moving to her new viv soon!!

Just thought that I would post a few pictures of my doggies.

This is Sparky my Sheltie. My hubby brought me him for my birthday.

Buddy is my hubby's Sheltie. We meet at dog training classes and buddy was there with Hubby and I was there with m mum's Dobie.

In this pic Buddy is being carried cos he hurt his paw. I think he just couldn't be bothered to walk any further!!

I just got my new rack today. This is the first rack I have ever owned. I must say that it is real nice, and has lots of room. I bought the 7010 unit with the Helix therostat, and a power strip.

It took about an hour to get ir all together and setup. I am letting the temp get up before I put my snakes in. I was looking online and found a light sensor for the thermostat that adjusts the temp to the sunlight. What a great idea. Now you don't have to adjust the day light cycle. ...

Hello everyone, I have been getting emails about ball pythons. I will answer them through email but will also post replies here.

How long do Ball Pythons Live? Typically a Ball python will live for around 20yrs. There are a few examples which have lived for about 30+.

How big do Ball Pythons Get? The average size of a ball python is 4-6 feet. With six feet not so common. Males are smaller than females, with males at about 4 feet and females 5+ feet.

I would assume that there are not very many breeders amongst us. I have to say that the thrill of being able to manipulate the environment to encourage breeding and seeing the end product a baby ball slitting it's shell, amazing.

I can say it helps with supporting my collection and obsession.
