PostSubject: I bought a new ARS Rack.   Fri Feb 15, 2008 9:42 pm

Hey all,

I just got my new rack today. This is the first rack I have ever owned. I must say that it is real nice, and has lots of room. I bought the 7010 unit with the Helix therostat, and a power strip.

It took about an hour to get ir all together and setup. I am letting the temp get up before I put my snakes in. I was looking online and found a light sensor for the thermostat that adjusts the temp to the sunlight. What a great idea. Now you don't have to adjust the day light cycle. It is done on auto, SWEEEEEET cheers I can not wait till tomorrow to put my snakes in.

I will post more as time goes by to talk more about the great features this rack has. Thanks Brian for a great Rack and keep on selling them.

Thanks for reading,
Eric Rovegno

PostSubject: Update on my rack   Mon Mar 24, 2008 11:42 pm

Hey all,

This rack is amazing. I had purchased a photo cell meter, which controls my night temp drop, WOW. The rack keeps the temp just right and with the heat tape under each level its great. The moisture holding is also a great plus for this rack. Above each level is a sheet of metal which has around 50 plus holes in it helps keep the moisture just right. The Helix thermostate is real nice, but I think they need to offer it with three probes to help regulate the temp a little better. Not to say that its bad but I think this extra feature would just make it that much better.

Eric

great rack.... but i prefer terrarium.
I built 14 terrariums ( self made ) and I have 3 racks.
every terrarium have a single thermostat with 2 temp set and every terrarium have heat tape.
it's the best method ( I think and I tested ) to keep ball pythons because my python are all ok , perfect health.
I'm so crazy to build terrarium.
